Volunteering

One of the greatest organizational strengths we have is our volunteer base. DBM is operated almost entirely by dedicated, committed volunteers who come to the warehouse and help us sort and distribute thousands of pounds of food each day.

Each volunteer knows what needs to be done, knows how to lead other volunteers respectfully, and successfully accomplishes the objectives of DBM. Without our volunteers, it would be impossible to process and distribute the amount of food we give to our community.

How you can give of your time and talent.

Driving - help collect and deliver donations by driving trucks and vans, either on a regular route or on an occasional basis, to pick up donations and deliver them to agencies and churches
Sorting and repackaging bulk donations
Assisting with office and administrative tasks including data entry and other tasks.
Helping with the mechanic work on delivery vehicles.
Gathering food from local caterers.
